Violon d’Ingres d’un fumiste

18 x 39 cm vintage silver print in a 32 x 58 frame. Marie Louise with inscription in black and red ink. Dated 1921.The picture is titled « Violon d’Ingres d’un fumiste, exécuté à temps perdu » and features a very complex clock made out of steel and in a shape of a church. The title can be translated as «  hobby of a refractory bricklayer , executed during free time» . But « fumiste » in French can also means a lazy guy.
