The Fun Archaeology is the collection of the french artist Thomas Mailaender. Archaeology, or archeology, is the study of human activity through the recovery and analysis of material culture. The archaeological record consists of artifacts, architecture, biofacts or ecofacts, and cultural landscapes. Archaeology can be considered both a social science and a branch of the humanities. Stigmatized by Johnson as « a low cant word. » Older sense is preserved in phrase to make fun of (1737) and funny money « counterfeit bills » (1938, though this may be more for the sake of the rhyme). French prank item. Consists in a typical farmer wood clog transformed into a violin. The period of realization is unknown, probably belonging to the 80’s. Some parts of the violin seem to be taken from an original violin like the wooden top curl or the music keys. The dimension of the violin is 11x 55 cm.
